Why Woodworking?

I love to work with wood! I'm always looking for new ways to use it so, of course I had to check out how to make these new cutting boards!

Cutting boards are a great way to show your love for woodworking, and they're also a great gift. A wooden cutting board is a wonderful home accessory and will last for years if properly cared for. They can be personalized with engraving or carving with names, initials and dates!

There are many different types of hardwood that I use to make these items: cherry, walnut, rock maple, and hickory, to name a few! You could even use an exotic piece if you wanted something really special on your kitchen counter, like purple heart wood... just be aware that certain woods may take longer than others because they may require extra attention due to lower moisture content levels.
